    Learning to walk in a world of hard surfaces can turn a special moment into a heart rendering incident in a flash. It's normal for young children to sustain bumps and bruises occasionally as part of exploring. However, whilst the damage to a falling toddler's hands and knees can be an acceptable form of pain, a head injury can be traumatic for both infant and parent.

    The Thudguard is a revolutionary new product, an infant safety hat, designed to help absorb and reduce the impact of head injuries due to a fall or collision. It is suitable for babies and toddlers aged 7 months to 2+ years. It protects the forehead, side of the head, back of the head and most importantly the fontanelle.

    The thudguard is medically endorsed and supported by experts and is certified and impact tested to comply with DTI PPE Category II (89/686/EEC)

    • REMEMBER. Though the Thudguard has strategically placed ventilation holes to allow heat out, wearing any headgear can become hot and uncomfortable after too long. Adults know when a helmet makes them too hot but a child DOES NOT! - Please check every 5 minutes for overheating. It is the parent's responsibility to monitor for overheating - especially in very hot weather. NEVER allow a child to sleep with the hat on. Make sure children get plenty of fluids. Water is best before, during and after prolonged activity. Encourage a "cooling-off" time in the shade if possible.
